Theme three:
1.Parables:
A parable is a special kind of story.A parable is a simple story with a hidden meaning. They´re normally easy to understand and easy to remember, now we are going to know about some of them.
1.1THE LOST SHEEP:the lost sheep is a parable that talks about a man who had 100 sheep, every day he counted them and one day when he counted them and he realised that he did lose one,so he look for it everywhere until he found it.And when he found it he did a party with all his neighbourgs and all of his friends Jesus told that the meaning of that was just like there was a big party over the one lost sheep, there will be a big party in heaven over just one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine people who think they are perfect and don't need to repent.
1.2 The good Samaritan: This talks about a man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he fell into the hands of robbers. They stelled him his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him nearly dead with no clothes. A priest came down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side. So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. But a Samaritan, as he traveled, reach the man and when he saw him, he took pity on him. He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, took him to an inn and took care of him. The next day he took out two silver coins and gave them to the innkeeper. 'Look after him,' he said, 'and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.

Christians today:One day Jesus started thinking about how people would behave in a whole new way in the kingdom of God.To make it happen he taughthis disciples a great commandment.“Love God and love your neighbour as yourself”Matthew 22:37-39.Jesus wanted the disciples to open their hearts to god.He wante them to love their neighbour as much as they love themselves.Their neighbours were everyone, especially the poors, the sicks…
Vocation:Vocation comes from the latin “vocare”that means “to call”.When Jesus selected his disciples he wanted them to have a vocation, that was to follow Jesus by loving god and loving your neighbour as much as theirselves.Christians have answered the call of Jesus in different ways.Their day today lives are an example of God´s love present in the world

THE LAST SUPPER
For other uses, see The Last Supper (disambiguation). In the Christian Gospels, the Last Supper (also called the Lord's Supper or Mystical Supper) was the last meal Jesus shared with his Twelve Apostles and disciples .

Jesus gave the Passover bread and wine a new meaning. The bread was his body that would be broken for them. The wine was his blood that would be spilled for them. In this way Jesus connected the Passover meal with is own death. The disciples did not fully understand the meaning of Jesus words and actions. They did not realise that Jesus was about to die for them.
DEATH OF JESUS
Jesus was sentenced to death by crucifixion. He was beaten by Roman soldiers, scourged, stripped, and nailed to a cross. He was crucified between two robbers, and died.
RESURECTION
On the third day after Jesus died, an angel descended, and the soldiers fled. The disciples came and found an empty tomb. Jesus had risen from the dead! He later appeared to many believers, commanding them to teach and baptize others.
TRIAL OF JESUS
Jewish leaders wanted to kill Jesus. They accused him of blasphemy, and had Jesus arrested. A Roman governor named Pilate tried Jesus. He wanted to release Jesus. But when the Jews threatened to riot, Pilate condemned Jesus to death on a cross.

On Thursday evening after dark Jesus, Peter and some of the disciples met
At the Mound of Olives. They were afraid. They made their way to their usual place.
At least it was safe and well hidden. Jesus knew it was now only a matter of time. HeLeft them and went of by himself.

ISAIAS 23

Jesus and Outsiders
Then Jesus entered and passed through Jericho. Now behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus who was a chief tax collector, and he was rich. And he sought to see who Jesus was, but could not because of the crowd, for he was of short stature. So he ran ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see Him, for He was going to pass that way. And when Jesus came to the place, He looked up and saw him, and said, ‘Zacchaeus, make haste and come down, for today I must stay at your house.’ So he made haste and came down, and received Him joyfully. But when they saw it, they all complained, saying, ‘He has gone to be a guest with a man who is a sinner.’ Then Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, ‘Look, Lord, I giver half of my goods to the poor; and if I have taken anything from anyone by false accusation, I restore fourfold.’” And Jesus said to him, ‘Today salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham; for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost’”
Jesus was the hero of this crowd from Galilee as they were on their way to the Passover. But here He had shocked the disciple’s sensibilities and those of the people of Jericho by inviting himself to be the guest of Zacchaeus: a chief publican who didn’t have the best reputation. This Zacchaeus desired to see Jesus, and although that’s commendable, the idea of it is surpassed by the fact that Jesus wanted to see him!Not only did Jesus want to see Zacchaeus, he would stay with him as well; for He said, “I must stay at your house today” (v. 5). Why was Jesus looking for Zacchaeus? because “the Son of Man had come to seek and to save that which was lost” (v.10). The crowd all murmured just moments before; they complained that Jesus was going to be a guest with a man who is a sinner! But who else needs salvation other than a sinner?“Just who is a good prospect for the gospel of Christ?” I have to admit, I find myself culling some prospects out, thinking, “They won't respond.” Perhaps there is a tendency for all of us to exclude those who don't have the same lifestyle as us, or the same moral standards, but who did Jesus consider to be a good prospect? Perhaps in Zacchaeus, we see that He appealed to those whom we wouldn’t consider as “religious minded people.”Jesus taught this lesson before, as is recorded in Luke 14:12-14: At that time He also said to him who invited Him, “When you give a dinner or a supper, do not ask your friends, your brothers, your relatives, nor rich neighbors, lest they also invite you back, and you be repaid. But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind. And you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you; for you shall be repaid at the resurrection of the just.” This passage shows that we should reach beyond those we might usually think of as "good prospects."Zacchaeus was a tax collector who was hated by his own people for reportedly being a thief and for being allied with the Romans. Yet, Jesus saw potential in this man. "And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for today I must stay at your house" (Luke 19:5). Don’t you think that Jesus’ concern paid off? Zacchaeus repented and followed Jesus! What do we see when we meet people? Do we look first to see whether they are "like us" before we try to teach them the gospel or invite them to the services of the church? Or do we see a soul that needs salvation? Do we simply see them as they are, with sin and immorality, or do we see what they can become? Do we really have faith in the power of the gospel? It is God’s power unto salvation (Romans 1:16).What do you see when you meet someone who is not a Christian? Maybe this is the greater lesson of what is recorded in Luke 19. The interesting thing is that the scriptures don’t reveal much about Zacchaeus’ intentions on that day. It simply says that, “he sought to see who Jesus was” (v.3), not necessarily to listen to his teaching, or obtain anything from Him, but merely to see who he was. "What sort of person was this Jesus, about whom there was so much speculation, and after whom such crowds were following?" Curiosity may have been Zacchaeus’ only motive.
Jesus Forgives Sins
Jesus went back to Capernaum. When his neighbours saw he was at home, they all came to visit him. Soon a large crowd gatthered inside and outside the house. Jesus began to teach about the kingdom of God, and to heal te sick among them.
A group of men arrived. They carried their friend who was paralyzed and couldn't walk. The man was hoping that Jesus would help him. “Of course I will” said his friends. They were certain that Jesus had the power to heal him. They tried to get their friend inside the housebut the crowd was too big. So they tried to reach Jesus through another way.
Carefully, they carried the paralysed man up the stepsat the side of the house. It wasn't easy. However, they kept going until they got up on th roof. After they caught their breath they set to work. They made a hole in the roof. Dust and dirt fell down into the room below. Everyone stood back and looked up in amazement.
When the space was big enough for their purpose the friends told the paralysed man to hold on tight. Then they lowered him ono a mat in front of jesus. He said to the paralysed man “My son, your sins are forgiven”Jesus' words shocked a group of Phariseeswho were standing nearby. Some of them were from Galilee, some had come from Jerusalem. Jesus turned to the paralysed man and he healed him in front of everyone.
Jesus and Sabath Laws
On a Sabbath, while he was going through the grainfields, his disciples plucked and ate some heads of grain, rubbing them in their hands. But some of the Pharisees said, "Why are you doing what is not lawful to do on the Sabbath?" And Jesus answered, "Have you not read what David did when he was hungry, he and those who were with him: how he entered the house of God, and took and ate the bread of the Presence, which it is not lawful for any but the priests to eat, and also gave it to those with him?" And he said to them, "The Son of man is lord of the Sabbath."
Now when they drew near to Jerusalem, to Bethphage and Bethany, at the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two of his disciples and said to them, “Go into the village in front of you, and immediately as you enter it you will find a colt tied, on which no one has ever sat. Untie it and bring it. If anyone says to you, ‘Why are you doing this?’ say, ‘The Lord has need of it and will send it back here immediately.’” And they went away and found a colt tied at a door outside in the street, and they untied it. And some of those standing there said to them, “What are you doing, untying the colt?” And they told them what Jesus had said, and they let them go. And they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their cloaks on it, and he sat on it. And many spread their cloaks on the road, and others spread leafy branches that they had cut from the fields. And those who went before and those who followed were shouting, “Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David! Hosanna in the highest!”
And he entered Jerusalem and went into the temple. And when he had looked around at everything, as it was already late, he went out to Bethany with the twelve.
Resurrection Appearences
That very day two of them were going to a village named Emmaus, about seven miles from Jerusalem, and they were talking with each other about all these things that had happened. While they were talking and discussing together, Jesus himself drew near and went with them. But their eyes were kept from recognizing him. And he said to them, “What is this conversation that you are holding with each other as you walk?” And they stood still, looking sad. Then one of them, named Cleopas, answered him, “Are you the only visitor to Jerusalem who does not know the things that have happened there in these days?” And he said to them, “What things?” And they said to him, “Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, a man who was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people, and how our chief priests and rulers delivered him up to be condemned to death, and crucified him. But we had hoped that he was the one to redeem Israel. Yes, and besides all this, it is now the third day since these things happened. Moreover, some women of our company amazed us. They were at the tomb early in the morning, and when they did not find his body, they came back saying that they had even seen a vision of angels, who said that he was alive. Some of those who were with us went to the tomb and found it just as the women had said, but him they did not see.” And he said to them, “O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken! Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer these things and enter into his glory?” And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.
So they drew near to the village to which they were going. He acted as if he were going farther, but they urged him strongly, saying, “Stay with us, for it is toward evening and the day is now far spent.” So he went in to stay with them. When he was at table with them, he took the bread and blessed and broke it and gave it to them. And their eyes were opened, and they recognized him. And he vanished from their sight. They said to each other, “Did not our hearts burn within us while he talked to us on the road, while he opened to us the Scriptures?” And they rose that same hour and returned to Jerusalem. And they found the eleven and those who were with them gathered together, saying, “The Lord has risen indeed, and has appeared to Simon!” Then they told what had happened on the road, and how he was known to them in the breaking of the bread.

Miracles.
Here i´m going to explain what are miracles, and after tell some of them.
Normally, a miracle is any event which occurs in contradiction to established natural laws, in other words, an event which should normally be considered impossible. Sometimes, the term is used in a broader and more general sense to refer to things which are wondrous, beautiful, and life-affirming. Thus, the smile of a newborn baby is sometimes labeled as a “miracle.” No gods and nothing supernatural are required to explain such “miracles” because they are natural aspects of our existence.

The blind man.
Now i´m going to tell you the miracle of the blind man:

A crowd followed as Jesus and His disciples approached a town called Jericho. At the edge of town sat a poor blind man named Bartimaeus. When he heard that Jesus was passing by, he began to scream and yell with all his might. "Jesus!" he cried. "Son of David, have mercy on me!" People nearby tried to quiet blind Bartimaeus. But the more they tried, the louder he shouted. "Son of David!" he hollered at the top of his lungs. "Please, have mercy on me!"

Jesus stopped walking and turned to His disciples. "Call that man over to Me," He said.
The disciples went to Bartimaeus. "Cheer up!" they said. "Get on your feet and come with us. Jesus is calling for you." Tossing down his cloak, the blind man leaped up and went with them.
"What do you want me to do?" asked Jesus.
"Teacher," said Bartimaeus, "I wish to see."
"Go," said Jesus. "Because of your faith, you are healed." Instantly, Bartimaeus could see! He followed Jesus, looking at everything as he went!

The man with Leprosy. Leprosy was probably the worst disease known in the time of Jesus.
When he came down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him.
Behold, a leper came to him and worshiped him, saying, "Lord, if you want to, you can make me clean." Jesus stretched out his hand, and touched him, saying, "I want to. Be made clean." Immediately his leprosy was cleansed. Jesus said to him, "See that you tell nobody, but go, show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, as a testimony to them."

The disciples.
Disciple means pupil or student, and the disciples were people who chose to follow Jesus and to listen to his teaching. They called him rabbi, or teacher. The twelve disciples were followers of Jesus whom he had chosen to become his core group, the people he talked things over with and depended on.
Simon and his brother Andrew were the first disciples Jesus chose. Next Jesus called James and John, then Philip, Nathaniel (also called Bartholomew), Matthew, Thomas, and James, son of Alpheus, and Simon the Zealot, and Judas, son of James, and Judas Iscariot.
Peter, Andrew, James and John were commercial fishermen. They (or their families) owned their own boats. James and John were the sons of Zebedee, and this John may be the person who wrote the Fourth Gospel, the Gospel of John.Andrew and Philip have Greek names and spoke Greek to the travelers who came from Greece to hear Jesus preach. They may have had Greek relatives or Greek or Roman educations.Matthew had been a tax collector, a disrespected way of earning a living in those days. Tax collectors were not allowed to testify in court, because everyone believed they were totally dishonest.

The beatitudes.

Jesus Christ gave us the eight Beatitudes in the Sermon on the Mount, recorded for all posterity in the Gospel of Matthew, the first Book of the New Testament of the Bible. Jesus offers us a way of life that promises eternity in the Kingdom of Heaven. The teachings of Christ Jesus were simple but unique and innovative at the time of his life on earth. He began teaching about 30 AD in the time of the ruthless Roman occupation of Palestine. The four groups in the Jewish religion, the Pharisees, the Sadducees, the Essenes and the Zealots, presented a different viewpoint to the Jewish people. The Pharisees and to some degree the Sadducees demanded strict observance of the Mosaic law as well as Jewish customs and rituals. Nazareth was in Galilee, an important center of the Zealots, a militant Jewish group who wanted freedom for their homeland. The Essenes awaited a Messiah that would establish a Kingdom on earth and free the Israelites from oppression
